Stepping onto the show floor at LDI 2024, the X-Laser booth was impossible to miss. Even with their booth nestled along the back row, major beamage directed attendees right to where the action was.
Debuting the Triton T Series IP65 Lasers
One of the biggest draws of X-Laser's booth was the first-ever public debut of their Triton T Series Lasers. Designed with an IP65 rating, these lasers are built to withstand the harshest environments, and X-Laser didn't just talk the talk—they put a Triton T-5 fixture inside a fish tank, where it braved constant precipitation and condensation.
Laser Shows That Stole the Show
Also, throughout each day at LDI, X-Laser cycled through six high-energy laser shows. Attendees watched the cue lists and sequences play out on each of the three consoles, directly paired with the laser effects in real-time. This practical showcase reinforced how Mercury simplifies the process of designing impactful and professional laser shows—all directly from a lighting console.
Not only was the X-Laser booth epic, but it was also award-winning, earning an Honorable Mention for Best Small Booth Design. Eddy Sound helped design and build the booth, and HazeBase provided the atmosphere. These superstars programmed laser shows:

Mercury: The Heart of X-Laser
For those new to X-Laser's ecosystem, Mercury is a game-changing firmware built into all production-grade X-Laser laser fixtures (Triton and Skywriter models). It allows users to seamlessly program lasers from their preferred lighting consoles (e.g. grandMA, Avolites, ETC, ChamSys, etc.) and run the entire rig using the sACN, DMX+RDM or Art-Net protocol they’re used to. Mercury simplifies the process with its onboard media library and effect engine by eliminating dongles or additional licenses. Designers can manipulate laser effects as intuitively as a media server, making it an invaluable tool for modern productions. LDs at LDI 2024 could even demo Mercury by taking over the wheels of one of the three pro consoles and testing out the rig themselves.
Sneak Peeks and Jaw-Dropping Reveals
X-Laser didn't stop at showcasing their current lineup—they also gave attendees a taste of what's to come. A 40W IP65-rated Triton T-40 was rigged top-center in their booth, and if that wasn't impressive enough, we learned that the Triton T Series can scale up to a staggering 60W. And if you think that's wild, the Skywriter series has the potential to go up to an unbelievable 120W! X-Laser is more than capable of delivering fixtures for the largest world tours, and what they had on display at LDI is evidence of that and then some.
Wrapping It Up
X-Laser's showcase at LDI 2024 proved their commitment to providing practical, high-performance solutions for lighting designers and production professionals.
